Written exam after the end of term (text answers are expected, there are no multiple-choice questions), all course materials (slides of PPT lecture, literature) will be made available on Moodle.

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria

The course is designed as a basic introduction for diachronic linguistics; basic knowledge of linguistic terminology is required.

Assessment standard:
There are 42 points to be scored on three main questions in the exam, and the grading scale is:
42-38 points = Sehr gut; 37-34 points = Gut; 33-28 points = Befriedigend; 27-21 points = Genügend; 20-0 points = Nicht genügend
