Examination topics
The texts anylazed and discussed in the lecture unites and the power-point slides provided by Arno Böhler on moodle during the semseter will be the basis material, students have to study for the written exam. In addition all students have to read the texts which are provided on moodle unter the name "obligatory literarture". To ready and study these texts is necessary to deepen your knowledge on the philosophical issues at stake in this lecture.
Assessment and permitted materials
Students will receive credits for the lecture by taking a written examination. There are 4 written examination dates scheduled: The first exam date will be on June 27, 2023, one early October 2023, one mid-November 2023, and the last late January 2024. (The exact dates will be announced during the semester).
The written exams will be conducted on-site in physical presence and will consist of 3 essay questions, each with 3 sub-questions to be incorporated into the respective essay. No external aids are allowed during the exam.

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria
The written exam consists of 3 essay questions with 3 sub-questions each, which have to be included in the respective essay (overall max. 36 points. Max. 12 points per essay): 0-18 points = Not Sufficient. 19-22 points = Satisfactory. 23-26 points = Satisfactory. 27-31 points = Good. 32-36 points = Very Good.
In the written examination, > 50% of the points must be achieved in order to complete the course positively.
