Minimum requirements and assessment criteria
(1) The minimal requirement to pass the course is basic knowledge of the contents presented. The final examination will consist of a series of question that are to be answered in an essayistic style.
A positive grade will be given if the questions are answered in a way that documents that the basic ideas of the lecture course have been received and thought through.
(2) The grading key focuses the documented understanding of the basic ideas, topics, and questions presented in the course. The grade "very good" is awarded if this knowledge clearly exceeds the average measure of reception and rather documents the capacity of independent understanding, coherent argumentation, and critical thinking.Quantitatively regarded, the grading criteria can be specified as follows :
From a total three questions (two general questions, plus one highly rated question concerning the self-chosen reading focus) altogether 100 (30, 30 und 40) points can be achieved. The respective ranking measure is the following: Very good: 100-90; good: 89-81; average: 80-71; sufficient: 70-60; not sufficient: 59-0 points.
