WHEN?
The exam will be conducted online (via moodle) as an open-book exam. Students will be asked to respond to two short and two essay questions (out of three short/essay questions each). Further practical details will be explained in the beginning of the exam. Please note that the exam will be held in German. Responding to exam questions in English, however, is permitted.

Note: The time of your registration within the registration period has no effect on the allocation of places (no first come, first served).

Examination topics
Content of lectures (ppts will be made availabe via moodle), selected literature (see below). Note that lecture content may differ from respective chapters in the "Politik und Peripherie" textbook. Also, ppts may not provide a full summary of individual lectures.

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria
Students will be introduced to a political science perspective on global politics and politics in the South. The main aim is to offer students a basic understanding of different theoretical perspectives on politics. Excellent (passive) German language knowledge (ability to read, ability to follow the individual lectures) is required.
