Minimum requirements and assessment criteria
Real Analysis is an essential part of the mathematical background required of mathematicians, physicists and other scientists. This requirement reflects the importance and wide applications of the subject matter. The aim of this course (and the exercises) is to enable the students to use their acquired knowledge and skills in their future studies and career. Furthermore, there is a tutorial session once a week (details to be announced), where an introduction to the software package MATLAB will be provided. It will be possible there with to tackle exercises far beyond reach of calculation "by hand". Additionally, material can be reviewed and standard methods can be practised.
