Minimum requirements and assessment criteria
Aims of this course:
the students describe the different state-of-the-art techniques for the remediation or safeguarding of sites contaminated with inorganic pollutants and assess their geo- and hydrochemical processes in a site-specific and problem-oriented manner. They are able to develop a concept for the assessment of an area of suspected contamination and can recall the relevant sampling and analytical techniques. By comparison of measured values with current legislation and threshold values they are able to suggest the necessary measures for safeguarding or decontamination.
