M-CORE 9 Written Module Exam Experiments in Quantum Optics & Quantum Information (2020S)

Dear CORE 9 Students

CoVid19-measures require that our written test around the “CORE 9 Modul Experimental Quantum Optics and Quantum Information“ must be replaced by an oral exam of one hour via Video.

This changes obviously the emphasis of the exam more towards concepts and understanding than extended calculations.

This form will remain valid for all following dates that related to this specific course of winter 2019.

The exam date and time remain:
01.07.2020 & 11.00 - 14.00

On that day we can fill 6 time slots of 60 min each, and we can open more when needed.

The other scheduled exam dates remain as indicated in the UNIVIS system.

The examination teams

Philip Walther & Stefan Gerlich
Markus Arndt & Valeria Saggio
will be able to cover all topics and both lecture and exercise.

You will be randomly assigned to one of the teams and also to the time slots between

11-12 h
12-13 h
13-14 h

We will use the BigBlueButton platform in Moodle to which you will receive more details in time.

You need to make sure to have

a working video camera
a working microphone
pencil and paper for sketched and small estimates

The exam will not be recorded, neither by us nor by you.

A life witness is allowed in your room, if you prefer to have one, but it cannot be a member of the class and we must be able to see this witness on camera at all times.
