M-CORE 7 Written Module Exam General Theory of Relativity and Cosmology (2024S)

Information

Students must demonstrate understanding of the mathematics and of the concepts of the theory.

A full mark will be obtained after providing an exhaustive description of the topics listed in three randomly designated questions out of the set of exam questions, available at

Partial descriptions will be marked accordingly. No supporting materials are allowed.

Derivations of the formulae proved in the lectures are expected, a memorised final formula will not constitute an acceptable answer.

Each question can earn up to 6 points. The total number of points translates to a mark as follows:
16-18: 1
14-15: 2
12-14: 3
9-11: 4
0- 8: 5
