090033 VO Court, Patronage and Literature in Byzantium (2020S)

The exam will be conducted in a written open-book format on Moodle; type of written exam: "Exam sheet for downloading".
It will consist of two parts:
The first part will include questions with a more general character, aiming to test whether the students have become well-acquainted with some fundamental aspects of the material presented throughout the semester. In the first part, there will be five questions and the students have to answer three of them.
The second part will have two passages from texts discussed during the semester. The students have to choose one of them, analyze it, and say which features of the text speak for its links to patronage.
The students have to pass both parts in order to pass the entire exam.
Grading system: each question of the first part counts 12 points, while the question of the second part 14 points (50 points in total)
50-47 points: 1; 46-42 points: 2; 41-35 points: 3; 34-26 points: 4; 25 points or less than 25: 5
The examination material includes the presentations (all the videos) and the readings on moodle, while the replies can be either in English or German.
