Examination topics

Documents (spectra) are provided via Moodle. A sample examination will be discussed during the course approximately one to two weeks before the first exam date.

Assessment and permitted materials

Written exam; likely online because of Covid-19 pandemic.
Elucidation of the structure of a small organic molecule from the 1D and 2D NMR spectra and answering questions about it. The documents from the course and relevant literature can be used.
Dates for the exams will be discussed during the lecture.

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria

Minimum requirement:
25 points out of a maximum of 50 possible points in the written exam.

Rating Scale:
50.00 - 43.75 points -- Sehr Gut (Very good performance with knowledge of (almost) all methods, contexts and terminology)
43.50 - 37.50 Points -- Gut (Certain uncertainties in dealing with the topics covered in the course)
37.25 - 31.25 points -- Befriedigend (Average Exam)
31,00 - 25,00 Points -- Genügend (Considerable deficits, but just acceptable handling of the topic, see "Minimum requirement")
24,75 - 00,00 Points -- Nicht Genügend (Unacceptable handling of the topics covered in the course)
