The students are to know
- why and how the authors and selected parts of their works we will be dealing with were and are ways of resistance against catastrophes;
- the relevance of faith in connection with resistance of that kind;
- that religious confession does not decrease or idealize the catastrophes, but turns it to a quest of God;
