Alice Leal lehrt seit 2008 am Zentrum für Translationswissenschaft der Universität Wien. Studium (BA) der Romanistik und Anglistik an der Universidade Federal do Paraná (Brasilien, 2005) und der Übersetzungswissenschaft (MA) an der Universidade Federal de Santa Catarina (Brasilien, 2007). Promotion im Fachbereich Translationswissenschaft an der Universität Wien (Österreich, 2011). Sie lehrt und/oder forscht in den Schnittstellen zwischen Mehrsprachigkeit, Literatur, Philosophie und Übersetzung, und leitet außerdem Lehrveranstaltungen zur Textproduktion, Grammatik und Diskursanalyse portugiesischer Sprache.

Alice Leal leciona no Centro de Estudos da Tradução na Universidade de Viena desde 2008. Possui graduação em letras inglês-português pela Universidade Federal do Paraná (Brasil, 2005), mestrado em estudos da tradução pela Universidade Federal de Santa Catarina (Brasil, 2007) e doutorado em estudos da tradução pela Universidade de Viena (Áustria, 2011). Tanto no ensino quanto na pesquisa, atua nas intersecções entre multilinguismo, literatura, filosofia e tradução. Também dá cursos de produção textual, gramática e análise do discurso em língua portuguesa.
