1. Master Programme Gender Studies
Gender Studies haben in den letzten Jahren in allen Fächern zu wertvollen neuen Forschungsansätzen und Fragestellungen geführt. Als Querschnittsmaterie eignen sie sich besonders für die Umsetzung der international zunehmend relevanten Interdisziplinarität: Die komplexen Zugänge zur Kategorie Geschlecht führen über thematische Schwerpunkte hinaus zu einem lebhaften Transfer von Theorien und Methoden. Die Universität Wien nimmt daher die Umstellung auf die so genannte Bologna-Architektur ihrer Studienangebote zum Anlass, dieses innovative Curriculum als interdisziplinäres Modulsystem anzubieten. Vermittelt werden darin Schlüsselqualifikationen, die gerade wegen der interdisziplinären Ausrichtung für weitere wissenschaftliche Forschungen ebenso relevant sind wie für den Arbeitsmarkt. Gewährleistet wird dies durch eine wohl überlegte Kombination von Theorieangeboten der Frauen- und Geschlechterforschung mit individuellen fachlichen Schwerpunktsetzungen und einem Praktikum.
