Information

Ziele, Inhalte und Methode der Lehrveranstaltung

This course is part of the module "Organization and Personnel II." The course introduces students to the world of Market Design, for which 4 Noble Prizes were given (2020, 2012, 2007, 1996). The course will consist of the theoretical part where we will analytically discuss the models and the applications part where we will see how the how theory is translated into practical solutions to real-world problems. In particular, we will discuss how results from auction theory, matching theory, mechanism design lead us to the use of spectrum auctions, internet ad auctions, kidney exchange programs, school assignment, etc.

Attendance:
Given the limited number of available places, I strongly recommend all of you interested in attending the course to attend the first introductory meeting, otherwise vacant places will be fulfilled.
