Information
Aims, contents and method of the course
The lecture introduces to key research fields of Historical and Cultural European Studies and covers the time period from Late Antiquity to Contemporary History. We will address how Europe was perceived through political, spacial, and cultural lenses. In doing so, various theoretical and methodological approaches will be explored as well. Each session will cover a specific topic.
Assessment and permitted materials
Written exam at the end of the semester (29/01).
Minimum requirements and assessment criteria
50% score at the written exam.
Examination topics
The exam covers the entirety of topics, based on oral presentation, slides, and mandatory reading.
Reading list
Mandatory reading will be provided per Moodle and adjusted over the semester, taking into account upcoming questions and students‘ interests.
