Aims, contents and method of the course
This course introduces the fundamentals of scholarly thinking in the Department of Historical-Cultural Studies. It introduces the objects, questions, and approaches that constitute historical-cultural studies thinking. The concepts of culture and history and central concepts such as space, time and actor are discussed. In addition, scholars from individual institutes will present their work and their approach in order to provide an insight into the research fields of the disciplines.
Assessment and permitted materials
Written module examination (5 ECTS) (multiple choice).
Bonus points of up to 20 points can be obtained for additional work performed voluntarily.

50% of the multiple-choice exam must be passed for positive completion of the lecture.

The material presented in the lecture is examined. Supplementary reading serves to deepen/understand the material.
