Aims, contents and method of the course

Working Title: The Welfare State and the Issue of Migration in Europe – New Class Conflict or "Clash of Civilisations"?

Focus: The focus of the analysis shall be put on the social issue as central target course of the populist debate on the topic migration and integration. Debates on cultural integration serve as emotional vehicle to gain votes – aiming in the core at the frear of loosing socioeconomic status in a seemingly perfect postwar welfare state.
