Information

Aims, contents and method of the course

In recent decades, digital technologies have changed the way we think about illness and health. Today, we can easily google our symptoms, ask specialized groups for advice or monitor our moods with the help of an App. We can tweet about how we feel or show it on Facebook or Tiktok. All of these are everyday postdigital practices that we, as Cultural Studies scholars, are interested in and are predestined to study. In the course of this lecture series, experts across disciplines (Cultural, Communication and Media Studies, Psychology, Political Studies, etc.) will demonstrate how they do research in this area. In this way, students will be given access to the most topical, and very exciting, study questions, materials, and perspectives.
Teaching mode: the lectures will take place on site. Please use this opportunity to ask questions and talk to the experts!
