Information

Aims, contents and method of the course

How the formal refers to the myth, what the epic popular songs reveal about the characteristics of the Bulgarian mentality and the Bulgarian view of the world, how the innovative is expressed in church frescoes of the 13th century, what internal connections and script are hidden in the Bulgarian customs and rituals (kukeri, nestinari) ?
Studying different exponents (from the ethnography field, from the folk art, the mythology, the religion, from the old and the modern art) the task is to identify the Bulgarian authenticity and the deep connection to the context where they belong (Byzantium, The Balkan Peninsula, the South Slavs, Europe).
