Information

Aims, contents and method of the course

The course offers a detailed view of the classic period of the Bulgarian literature: to start with Hristo Botev as a representative of the unique and genius poetry and to end with dense contrast of various aesthetic trends during the World War I. The anxiety and pressure in the Bulgarian literature was created in the period between the 70s of XIX century and the first decade of the XX century- with all development flows and streams, conflicts between the generations, recognition of new authors, daring debuts and distinguished declines. The most important names in this survey will be Iv. Vazov, Z. Stojanov, T. Vlajkov, St. Michajlovski, Aleko Konstantinov, P. P. Slavejkov, P. Jaworov, P. J. Todorov, Ein Pelin.
