Information

Aims, contents and method of the course

Investigation of those Babylonian literary texts (especially historical-literary compositions) that are available only in manuscripts dating to the late period (6th cent. and later). Reading of texts in class and presentations made by students

Assessment and permitted materials

grades depend on active participation in the class's activities; the texts that are read need to be prepared; a BA thesis has to be written in case the class is intended to cover the requirements for module AO 12; a seminar thesis needs to be prepared if the class is intended for the MA

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria

a positive grade depends on regular and active participation in class and on preparation of the texts read in class

Examination topics

reading of texts in class (texts need to be prepared); short presentations of students which are also to be handed in in written form

Reading list

will be presented in the first meeting of the class.
