Information

Aims, contents and method of the course

This teaching program is designed specifically for advance students
and mostly covers the area of Swahili literature reading and
translating, Swahili proverbs will be introduced to decorate the literature.
Kiswahili cha kimagazetti (newspaper reading) will be introduced during
the winter semester.

Assessment and permitted materials

Students will take a comprehensive exam that covers the area of Swahili literature at the end of semester. They are expected to write and defend an extended Essay upon attaining the language ability and Swahili cultural awareness at the end of a term.
