Aims, contents and method of the course

Vorlesung zu ausgewählten Bereichen der Sozial-, Kultur- und Geistesgeschichte des Vorderen Orients von der vorislamischen Zeit bis in die Gegenwart:
Gesellschaft und Familienstruktur;
Gesellschaft und Staat;
Religion und Gesellschaft;
Wirtschaft und Gesellschaft;
Spätantike und Islam;
Weltvorstellungen und Astrologie/-nomie;
Körper-Seele-Dualismus und Medizin;
Wissen und Philosophie.

Assessment and permitted materials

Schriftliche Präsenzprüfung im Hörsaal nach dem Ende der VO;
die Prüfung umfasst 10 Fragen, die ohne Hilfsmittel und ohne fremde Hilfe in ganzen Sätzen auf je einer Viertel- bis halben Seite zu beantworten sind.

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria

Die schriftliche Präsenzprüfung im Hörsaal ist ohne Hilfsmittel alleine und nach den Regeln der guten wissenschaftlichen Praxis zu bewältigen

mehr als 50% der erreichbaren Punkte sind für eine positive Bewertung notwendig, weitere Abstufungen erfolgen in 12,5-Prozent-Schritten

Examination topics

die in der Vorlesung präsentierten Inhalte;
die in den einzelnen Vorlesungseinheiten verwendeten PPP sind nach jeder Einheit auf moodle abrufbar und geben einen Überblick über die behandelten Inhalte
