Information
Aims, contents and method of the course
coaching re the writing of MA theses. Presentation of the MA topic & the exposé and discussion of chapters, relevant texts & methodology
Assessment and permitted materials
students have to prepare for class (texts will be read, the exposé will be discussed, draft chapters will be presented)
Minimum requirements and assessment criteria
Minimal requirements for receving a pass grade: active participation in class (preparation of the texts to be read, participation in the discussions); oral presentation on the topic of the MA thesis and preparation of an exposé for the MA thesis including bibliography (including reaction on feedback) as well as 2 draft chapters of the thesis, in accordance with the indications given by the teacher of the course and in accordance with the rules of best scientific practice. Participation is mandatory, three classes can be missed. Every single contribution is evaluated separately. The exposé & draft chapters (and, if required, the reaction on feedback) contribute to the final grade by 70%, active regular participation in class, by 30%.
