Information

Aims, contents and method of the course

First part of a survey of middle eastern history from the beginnings to the Middle Bronze age. The first meeting of the class will be online (via BigBlueButton on the course's moodle page). We will have a vote on whether the remainder of the class should be held in a traditional classroom setting or on-line, in a 'flipped classroom' set-up, with pre-recorded lectures students listen to in their own time, while the class meets online at the appointed time for questions and discussion.

Assessment and permitted materials

written exam on the contents of the lecture course in the last meeting of the class (end of June) or in the following semester (in total, there will be four opportunities to take the exam). The exam will be online via the moodle platform (open book system).
