Information
Aims, contents and method of the course
The lecture deals with the importance of free radicals and antioxidants in cell biology, (sport) nutrition, food chemistry, medicine and economics. Basic chemical reactions of free radicals and antioxidants and their relevance are discussed. Practical case studies from the various disciplines will be discussed. Demonstration examples and challenges in the analysis of free radicals will be presented.
Assessment and permitted materials
The examination will be held orally in room 2B524 at the UZA2. Please register for the exam as usual. The exact time of the exam will be sent to you by e-mail about 2 days before the exam date.
Minimum requirements and assessment criteria
Basic understanding of the importance of free radicals and antioxidants
