Including natural emissions (volcanic, dust)
Climate consequences of large volcanic eruptions

Monitoring of air pollution (ground-based, remote sensing, satellite; monitoring networks) and greenhouse gases (ICOS, satellites, etc.)

Pollen: monitoring, forecasting

Emergency preparedness: Chemical/nuclear accidents

Forest fires: Forest fire danger, drought indices, forecast, consequences, pyro-Cbs

Renewable energies: meteorological aspects of renewable energy production

Assessment and permitted materials

The exam will be oral. The student must have obtained knowledge and understanding of all topics of the course.

There will no aids be allowed (or needed) during the examination.

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria

Questions will be asked across the full course content.

At least 50% of the questions must be answered completely correctly.

Examination topics

The examination covers the full content of the course. Course slides will be provided and define the course content. However, slides will probably not be sufficient, since explanations will be given in more detail during the lectures.

Literature will be provided in each section of the course (will also be listed in the slides shared with the students).
