Aims, contents and method of the course

The aim is to provide ongoing support during the Bachelor's thesis writing process, from finding the topic to submitting the finished thesis.

Thematic units for the whole group:
04.03.2024 Kick-off for the course
18.03.2024 The start of writing the Bachelor's thesis
08.04.2024 The disposition
06.05.2024 Working with scientific literature and empirically
13.05.2024 Writing the Bachelor's thesis
17.06.2024 Overcoming hurdles until the thesis is submitted

In addition, two sessions to discuss your dispositions with respective supervisors at the end of April and at the end of May are mandatory.

Assessment and permitted materials

Submission of one or two topic proposals for the Bachelor's thesis by 18 March 2024
Submission of an initial exposé for the Bachelor's thesis by 22 April 2024
Discussion of the initial exposé with supervisor / in the supervisor's subgroup at the end of April
Submission of a final exposé for the Bachelor's thesis by 20 May 2024
Presentation and discussion of the final exposé with the supervisor / in the supervisor's subgroup at the end of May
Feedback on the status of the Bachelor's thesis at the end of June and - if necessary - at the end of August
Submission of the Bachelor's thesis by 31 August 2024, in consultation with the supervisor by 30 September 2024

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria

Participation in at least four of the six thematic units.
Participation in the two appointments with the supervisors.
Timely submission of a topic proposal, a first and a final version of the disposition, timely submission of the completed Bachelor's thesis
