Aims, contents and method of the course

The aim is to provide ongoing support during the bachelor's paper writing process, from finding the topic to submitting the finished paper. The thematic focus is put particularly on sustainability transitions.

Thematic units for the whole group:
17.03.2025 Kick-off for the course
31.03.2025 The start of writing the bachelor's paper
07.04.2025 The outline (disposition)
12.05.2025 Working with scientific literature and empirically
26.05.2025 Writing the bachelor's paper
16.06.2025 Overcoming hurdles until the paper is submitted

In addition, two sessions to discuss your outline (disposition) in subgroups with your supervisor at the end of April and at the end of May are mandatory.

Assessment and permitted materials

Submission of two topic proposals by 31.03.2025
Submission of an initial outline for the bachelor's paper by 21.04.2025
Mandatory participation in discussions with the supervisor (in subgroups) at the end of April and end of May
Submission of a final outline for the bachelor's paper by 18.05.2025
Submission of the bachelor's paper by 31.08.2025 (in consultation with the supervisor by 30.09.2025)

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria

Participation in at least four of the six thematic units
Participation in the two appointments with supervisors
Timely submission of two topic proposals, a first and a final version of the disposition, timely submission of the completed bachelor's paper
