Information

Aims, contents and method of the course

The seminar accompanies students in the “Socio-Economic Transformations” Specialisation when writing their master’s thesis. Students present the progress of their research and writing process, raise and discuss any emerging problems and obstacles, and receive feedback from peers and lecturers.
Students in the master “Teaching Training Programme: Geography and Economic Education” need to have agreed on a topic in the field of economic geography with their supervisor. The sessions on 03.11.2025 and 12.01.2025 are reserved for students in the teaching training master programme and will be held in German. Attendance and participation in these two sessions is compulsory for teaching training master students.
All other sessions are held in English language. Participation by students in the discontinued master’s programme “Geography: Global Change & Sustainability” (Specialisation B) in the course is highly recommended and can be credited for the mobility module (subject to prior written approval by the responsible mobility officer, M. Benner). Students need to have been assigned a supervisor and have agreed on a final outline (“Disposition”) with them.
