Information

Aims, contents and method of the course

Introduction to concepts (hypotheses, theories) and relevant topics in botany and mycology, relating to evolution and phylogeny. Based upon cases studies, students learn modern analytical methods from the following fields: Cytogenetics, molecular biology (populations biology, molecular systematics, eco-evolutionary dynamics and genome dynamics), biogeography and chemodiversity (secondary plant metabolites).

Assessment and permitted materials

Credit is obtained for: 3 tests (with 6 Points each on 23 Oct and 11 Dec, and with 8 Points on 20 Nov) and protocol of results as oral presentation (10 Points, either on 11 Dec 2024 or on 15 Jan 2025).
Minimum requirement for positive credit: 16 points

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria

Practice in basics of relevant analytical methods and correct application in scientific research.
Credit key: <15.9 points: 5; 16-19.4 points: 4; 19.5-22.9 points: 3; 23-26.4 points 2; 26.5-30 points: 1.
