This is the mandatory Master Seminar for students in the curriculum Botany; hence, participants have to already have a Master thesis' topic, work on their thesis or have recently finished it.

The course will take place on Tuesdays, starting with 13. May, 9-12:00, in practical room 3.

Aims, contents and method of the course

This is the mandatory Master Seminar for students in the curriculum Botany; hence, participants have to already have a Master thesis' topic, work on their thesis or have recently finished it.
Students present their Master's thesis' topic (presentation of maximally 30 mins) and "defend" it during discussion with their colleagues as a preparation for their Master's defence.

Assessment and permitted materials

In total 18 points can be earned:
Presentation (to be uploaded to Moodle prior to presentation): 10 points
Oral presentation: 5 points
Active participation in discussion of the presentations of other participants: 3 points

Permitted are personal notes of the presenting student.

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria

Minimum requirement for positive credit: 9.25 points (of totally 18 points).

Credit key:
0-9: 5 (failed)
9.25-11.25: 4 (sufficient)
11.5-13.5: 3 (satisfactory)
13.75-15.75: 2 (good)
16-18: 1 (very good)
