Aims, contents and method of the course

This colloqium is a space for STS PhD students to discuss work in progress with colleagues and faculty and to receive feedback.

Assessment and permitted materials

Every student is expected to:

- Present their PhD project and their plans for the semester in the first course unit
- Hand in two work-in-progress pieces of writing (length, focus and form of these is related to thesis stage and discussed in the first unit)
- Take a lead in commenting on the work of two colleagues
- Read and actively discuss all work handed in

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria

The course is graded based on the basis of the quality of students' commenting (25%), their active participation in the discussions (35%) and the quality of their work-in-progress inputs (40 %)
