Assessment and permitted materials
In addition to regular and active participation in all discussions, students must complete the following specific tasks:Oral presentation, including PowerPoint and, if applicable, a handout, on the doctoral project with a focus on the methodology of dealing with (manuscript) sources, aiming to present the related challenges in a way that is understandable across disciplines.
Oral presentation (and written summary) of an assigned methodological article or a self-proposed (and instructor-approved) methodological issue or article relevant to their own work.
Final paper: Reflection on the methodology of their text work, incorporating the input received in the seminar.
Each guest lecturer will be "mentored" by a student: this involves introducing the speaker before the lecture, providing a more detailed presentation of the speaker’s work during the seminar discussion, and moderating this discussion. Taking on this role replaces task (2) above

This seminar primarily consists of presentation and discussion sessions based on lectures and the reading of academic literature that accompanies the lectures, addressing interdisciplinary (methodological) issues. Doctoral students are encouraged to propose topics or articles from their own field for discussion, viewed through this lens.
