Aims, contents and method of the course
Under the umbrella of "Oriental Studies" or "Middle Eastern Studies" we find, in the sense of "aerea studies," a great variety of different research fields applying their specific methodologies, devellopped in the various philologies, in literary criticism, cultural and religious studies and archaeology or art history.
Assessment and permitted materials
Minimum requirements and assessment criteria
The aim of the seminar is to compare these specific methods; the candidates will be asked to present their work from this perspective. Disussion may eventually help to consolidate the theoretical base of the individual thesis.
