Information

Aims, contents and method of the course

The lecture discusses the relative time boundaries (1762 -1878) of the Bulgarian Renaissance towards the European Renaissance, as well as the unique stages and stage figures (P. Hilendarski, S. Vrachanski, P. Beron, G. Rakovski, P. R. Slavejkov, L. Karavelov, D. Vojnikov, V. Drumev, Chr. Botev) versus European cultural development. The great figures of the Bulgarian Revival are not only presented as the high points of the national spirit but are also regarded as remarkably contradictory individualities.
Teaching on site within the scope of possibilities.
