Aims, contents and method of the course
The journal club is intended for students who wish to improve their ability to read, analyze and understand scientific literature by presenting summaries of original research papers. Supported by the course leader, students will select a recent journal article in Food Chemistry, Toxicology, Analytical Chemistry or a related field and present it for discussion. The respective articles will be distributed among all participants prior to the presentation to enable respective preparation for the discussion.

presentation and discussion of at least one actual publication
Examination topics
Oral presentation and participation in discussions.
Reading list
Selection of suitable publication in agreement with course leader at the beginning of the semester (students have to pro-actively contact the teaching staff with 2-3 interesting original research papers).
