Having grown up bilingual (with German and Serbo-Croat) in the multicultural setting of former Yugoslavia among its 28 nations, acquiring interest in languages came as no surprise to me. After graduating in English Language and Linguistics, I taught English at a senior high school for a couple of years, simultaneously working as a certified court interpreter for the English language. Eventually, I decided to specialize in legal translation and community interpreting at the Centre for Translation Studies where I took my MA. In 2015 I was entrusted with my first courses at the Center for Translation Studies as a lecturer in English and Bosnian/Croatian/Serbian and have had the honor of teaching its talented students ever since.
Teaching focus: Community Interpreting, Legal Translation, Sociolinguistics, Discourse Analysis, EAP, ESP.
Certified court interpreter for English, German and Bosnian/Croatian/Serbian at the Supreme Court of Justice in Luxembourg.
