From the winter semester 2012/13 onwards, students need to register for all lecture courses (VO - Vorlesungen). The period for doing so will last until 31 January 2013.
Lecture registration is independent of the registration for exams, which starts approx. 3 to 4 weeks before the scheduled exam (exams calendar: http://anglistik.univie.ac.at/studium-studienservicestelle/pruefungen/pruefungstermine/)
