Discover science

The focus area Discover science offers first-year students insights into various research fields at the University of Vienna, encouraging them to explore different scientific approaches, methods, and ways of thinking. Its aim is to address socially relevant topics that are also meaningful to students’ everyday lives, thereby illustrating how academic inquiry contributes to understanding and actively shaping societal developments. Moreover, the program provides valuable networking opportunities and is therefore designed - whenever possible - to take place in person, fostering direct exchange and personal interaction.
