I am currently (2022-25) a Postdoctoral Researcher at the FWF Project A Socialist Workplace in Postcolonial Africa: A Connected History of the Yugoslav Workforce in Zambia (led by Dr. Goran Musić, University of Vienna).

Before (2018-2021) that I was employed as University Assistant Prae Doc (PhD candidate in History) at the research platform "Mobile Cultures and Societies. Interdisciplinary Studies on Transnational Formations" funded by the Austrian Science Fund FWF.

I am co-editor of the anthology Navigating Socialist Encounters. Moorings and (Dis)Entanglements between Africa and East Germany during the Cold War (de Gruyter, 2021) and have published several journal articles on African/global labor history, African socialisms, East-South connections, and knowledge production.
Since 2021 I am managing editor of the open access journal Stichproben. Wiener Zeitschrift für kritische Afrikastudien / Vienna Journal of African Studies.

African labour history/global labour history with a focus on Africa; trade union history, especially of the WFTU, ICFTU, AATUF, workers and trade unions in Guinea, Ghana, Mali, Uganda, Tanzania, Kenya, Zambia, Angola. East-South relations with a focus on Africa, especially GDR-Africa relations; student mobility of African students in Eastern Europe; knowledge production at African universities, history of mobility and technology with relation to Africa, particular trucks and buses.
